Objectives

To analyse: - the major trends of modern German culture, focusing on its origins and literary traditions; - literary and cultural phenomena in the context of philosophy and religion; - German critical thought in relation with other cultural areas and with modern cultural production (literature, visual art, cinema etc.). The approach to the themes and texts is interdisciplinary.
