CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN LITERATURE

Course objectives

The students will acquire good knowledge of Contemporary Italian Literature and its evolution in the last two centuries, an high level knowledge and ability to interpret texts and the development of an adequate knowledge of the new trends and literary genres of the 2000s. Secondary objective is development of interdisciplinary skill (expecially on visual arts and new languages) and adequate communication skills.

Prerequisites
a general knowledge of Italian literature, especially theatre literature from the late 16th to the 20th century

Russi, Letteratura e musica, Carocci publ. Gigliucci, La parola intonata, Carocci publ. Libretti d'opera italiani, edd. Fabbri e Gronda, Mondadori (five texts of your choice with listening to at least one melodrama).
