The Course aims to introduce to and stimulate methods of teaching art history in high schools, throught traditional and innovative, online and offline resources. From the virtual classroom to the flipped lesson, from edutainement to the debate, from Clil to Byod, from the Lim to the electronic attendance register - to name just a few - the course also introduce the students to the terms and the daily praxis of the teaching profession, with particular attention to the cross-fertilization, inclusion programs and interdisciplinary planning.

Knowledge of the main stages in the history of Italian education from the late 19th century to the present day;
Knowledge of the history of art history teaching within the Italian school system;
Knowledge of the history of textbooks;
Critical analysis of the main textbooks currently on the market;
Knowledge of the regulatory references that govern and guide teaching activities;
Analysis and experimentation with the fundamental steps of teaching: planning, learning units, methodologies (cooperative learning, flipped classroom), assessment, inclusive teaching (PDP, PEI); civic education.

Knowledge of ancient art history, medieval art history, modern art history, and contemporary art history

The course will retrace the stages of the introduction of art history into Italian schools from the late nineteenth century to the present day. This will be followed by a description of the history of textbooks and an analysis of the texts currently on the market. The study of the main regulatory references and pedagogical guidelines will enable students to address the fundamental steps of teaching: planning, learning units, methodologies (cooperative learning, flipped classroom), assessment, and civic education. The course includes workshop activities.

In addition to lectures, the course includes laboratory activities aimed at experimenting with the various stages of teaching.
