The program includes the treatment of topics related to the main surgical emergencies such as intestinal obstructions, digestive hemorrhages, peritonitis, visceral perforations, and intestinal infarction.
Special emphasis is given to the therapeutic and prognostic aspects.
NTESTINAL OBSTRUCTIONS: gastric volvulus, small bowel and colorectal obstructions, abdominal wall obstructions (strangulated hernias and incisional hernias)
DIGESTIVE HEMORRHAGES: hematemesis, blood regurgitation, melena, enterorrhea
PERITONITIS: from appendicitis, cholecystitis, diverticulitis
VISCERAL PERFORATIONS: perforated gastro-duodenal ulcer, perforated colonic diverticulum
INTESTINAL INFARCTION: small bowel, colon
