The course is designed to focus attention on issues multidisciplinary relating to major diseases infectious and related diseases of the reproductive system with particular reference to the knowledge of the preventive aspects, diagnostic and clinical of these diseases is essential to medical specialists in order to set the correct diagnostic and therapeutic procedure.

Upon completion of the course, students should:
- have acquired the knowledge and methodology for a correct approach to infectious diseases and human reproduction. Specifically:
a pathogenetic approach with specific reference to the student's existing knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, general pathology, immunology, and endocrinology;
a clinical approach that facilitates connections with other course subjects and allows students to acquire a behavioral methodology in the clinical setting;
a therapeutic approach based on the established or suspected etiology; and an individual and collective preventive medicine approach.
be able to undertake both a clinical and laboratory diagnostic process for human reproduction and the most common infectious diseases;
be able to plan antimicrobial therapy and general medical treatment;
be able to implement the required prophylaxis and public health measures

In order to understand the content of the course and achieve the learning objectives, at the beginning of the teaching activities envisaged in the teaching module the student must possess general knowledge regarding Microbiology, Laboratory Medicine, the physiology of the endocrine glands and the physiology of the reproductive system.

Teachers deliver traditional classroom teaching, using audiovisual aids and following the lesson schedule as reported in the GOMP Classroom/Timetable System.
Practical activities are also planned at the patient's bedside and in outpatient clinics.
