At the conclusion of the qualifying internship, the student will be expected to demonstrate the ability to:
1.Implement best practices in the physician-patient relationship, including conducting clinical interviews, establishing therapeutic communication, providing clear information, and obtaining informed consent.
2.Collect a comprehensive medical history and perform a physical examination in hospital wards or outpatient settings.
3.Understand and apply clinical reasoning skills, including the identification of urgent or priority problems, formulation of diagnostic hypotheses, and selection of diagnostic investigations with the highest sensitivity and specificity to support or rule out such hypotheses.
4.Interpret laboratory test results accurately.
5.Interpret reports from diagnostic imaging examinations.
6.Understand and contribute to decision-making processes related to both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment options.
7.Complete hospital admission and discharge reports, including drafting of the discharge summary.
8. Evaluate the appropriateness of hospitalization and identify suitable pathways for rehabilitation or protected care in alternative healthcare facilities.
9.Assess the reason for hospitalization within the broader context of chronic conditions, co-morbidities, and patient frailty.
10.Recommend appropriate preventive measures and provide health education.
11.Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the structure and functioning of the National and Regional Health Services.
12.Comply with assigned shift schedules, maintain professional attire appropriate to the clinical setting, and bring all necessary tools and materials.
13.Demonstrate familiarity with and adherence to the rules and protocols of the ward or outpatient unit.
14.Engage appropriately and respectfully with medical, nursing, and technical staff.
15.Show understanding of the various roles and responsibilities within the healthcare team.
16.Display a proactive and collaborative attitude, including asking pertinent questions and volunteering to participate in clinical activities.

The practical training (TPV) can be attended not before the fifth year of the course and after having passed all the fundamental exams of first four years.
The TPV is organized according to the laws and educational regulations of each study course.
