Ethics of the environment and sustainability

Course objectives

The course aims to provide general frameworks on reflection on environmental ethics, safeguarding the biosphere, rights of future generations, historical and cultural roots of environmentalist thinking, exploitation of natural resources and environmental sustainability. The purpose of the course is to stimulate the students' attention on the ethical implications determined by the numerous environmental urgencies that deeply mark social relationships in today's world.
