Obiettivi formativi:
1)
Knowledge and comprehension of the main elements (ideas, poetics, main authors, main works) of the history of South Slavic novel and lyric poetry in the European context; examples of playwriting and autobiography; improvement of knowledge of the history of South Slavic literatures with special regard to the Nineteenth and the Twentieth century; improvement of literary analysis skills and literary translation skills.
2)
Improvement of knowledge of the structure of South Slavic languages. Development of the four basic language skills (advanced level). Improvement of stylistic knowledge of South Slavic languages through translation.

A survey of the main South Slavic literary forms
Introduction to the novel and the lyric poetry as genres and to their history in the European context; introduction to the history of the novel and of the lyric poetry in South Slavic literatures; examples of playwriting and autobiography in South Slavic literatures; discussion of the main authors and works; reading, translating and commenting selected passages from literary texts.
2)
Improvement of knowledge of the structure of South Slavic languages; thorough study of contemporary language through the development of the four basic skills (mother tongue language expert exercises – lettorato – are integral part of the activities of this course).
