RESEARCH MAIN TOPICS
My research activity is mainly focused on deciphering the genetic basis of some aspects of cell division, including mitotic spindle assembly, centrosome duplication and chromosome integrity, aiming to dissect molecular mechanisms and disclose the triggers behind the development of pathological conditions in humans.
1) Analysis of the genetic control of cell division using Drosophila as model system
2) Mitotic spindle assembly and microtubule (MT) nucleation
3) Consequences of altered Tubulin levels upon mitotic progression
