Graduation

The final exam is the discussion of a Masters Degree dissertation, i.e. a document in English
expounding the results of an original study conducted on a problem of applicative, experimental or
research nature.
Work on the dissertation is carried out under the guidance of a supervisor (who can be a lecturer in the
Masters Degree, or in other Italian or foreign University courses, or in an Italian or foreign research
institute) and is usually done during the second year of the degree programme, generally taking up half
of its total time.
The final exam can concern a project, research, methodological or internship activity performed in an
industry, public or research institution or in the University laboratories. The work carried out will show
that students master Cybersecurity methodologies and/or their application in a specific area, at a
competence level meeting the needs required by processes of technological innovations. The final
exam will be arranged so as to provide students with important credentials for the graduates’ access to
the job market.

To submit their Graduation Application, students must follow the steps described in the Thesis Timetable at the link:  https://forms.gle/xCTcVpvxRrViU1ySA

1. If you are planning to be assigned a thesis by an internal supervisor (i.e. you do not need an external internship), you do not have to provide any documentation in paper form. You don't need to physically go to the Educational Affairs Office as it is enough to fill out an electronic form, as detailed below.

Proposals for company internships for thesis purposes or educational experience: to learn more, contact Prof. Daniele Venturi directly: venturi@di.uniroma1.it

2. Whether you register your thesis with an internal supervisor or require an external internship through Jobsoul, you should fill in the form at

https://forms.gle/xCTcVpvxRrViU1ySA
This form requires you to upload the following files:
- authorisation to process personal data;
- the assignment of the internship/thesis, scanned after the supervisor has signed it;
- the authorisation to the anti-plagiarism control.

The Educational Affairs Office will automatically receive the digitalised files and manage the procedure to lead the student to graduation.

3. If the graduating student chooses an external internship, the standard procedure provided by the Jobsoul website must be followed. In particular, the student has to:
a) have obtained at least 60 mandatory CFU,
b) choose the Company among those that have an agreement with the Jobsoul platform, and carry out the procedures required by such platform;
c) The Training Project form provided by Jobsoul, and sign each copy with the student's signature in addition to the signature of the hosting Company and of the Chair of the Masters's Degree in Cybersecurity.
