La Prof. Olga Russina ha conseguito il Dottorato di Ricerca in Scienze Naturali (Dr. Rer. Nat.) presso l'Università Tecnica di Berlino nel 2004. Durante la sua carriera, ha svolto attività di ricerca in diversi centri internazionali. Dal 2010 lavora presso il Dipartimento di Chimica dell'Università Sapienza di Roma. Nel 2020 è stata chiamata come Professore Associato nel SSD CHIM/02.
Dal 2018 è responsabile del Laboratorio EDXD, dove svolge attività nel campo delle caratterizzazioni strutturali in materia soffice e sistemi complessi (in particolare liquidi ionici e Deep Eutectic Solvents). Il Laboratorio inoltre svolge attività nel campo dei Beni Culturali, con analisi elementari mediante spettroscopia di fluorescenza.

Prof. Olga Russina obtained the Natural Science PhD (Dr. Rer. Nat.) at the Technical University of Berlin (GER) in 2004. During her career, she developed research activity at various international research centres. Since 2010 she works at the Chemistry Department of University of Rome Sapienza. Since 2020 she is Associate Professor in Physical Chemistry.
Since 2018 she is responsible of EDXD Laboratory, where she develops research activity in the field of structural characterization in soft matter and complex systems (such as ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents). The DDXD Lab develops also research activity in the field of Cultural Heritage, applying fluorescence spectroscopy for elementary analysis.
Since 2018 she is responsible for the XRD Lab at CNIS (Sapienza).
Since 2020 she is Member of the Board of Directors of CNIS (Sapienza).
Since 2019 she founding Member of the European Ionic Matter Society.
She is Editor of a Special Issue of the Journal of Molecular Liquids on Structural and dynamic properties of ionic liquids . She authored two invited Perspective articles on the Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters (2012 and 2017). She is author of 11 papers with >100 citations and two Highly Cited Papers (ISI). She was invited to ACS Meetings and a Gordon Conference.
She authored 65 publications with a total of ca. 4800 citations and an Hindex = 29 (ISI).
She develops teaching activity in the framework of Physical Chemistry III (with Lab), Physical Chemistry I (Lab).

Dal 2018 è responsabile del Laboratorio XRD presso CNIS (Sapienza).
Dal 2020 è Membro del Consiglio Direttivo dello CNIS.
Dal 2019 è Membro fondatore della European Ionic Matter Society.
E stata Editor di una Special Issue del Journal of Molecular Liquids su Structural and dynamic properties of ionic liquids . E stata invitata a contribuire due articoli di Perspective sul the Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters (2012 and 2017). E autrice di 11 articoli con >100 citazioni e di due Highly Cited Papers (ISI). E stata invitata a contribuire a ACS Meetings ed ad una Gordon Conference.
Svolge attività didattica nell ambito dei Corsi di Chimica Fisica III (con laboratorio), di Chimica Fisica I (laboratorio) per Chimica Industriale.
