Raffaele Torella - Curriculum vitae

Born in Rome on 28/6/1950. 1981-1997 Ricercatore; 1997-2003 Professore Associato; currently, as Professore Ordinario, holder of the Chair of Lingua e Letteratura Sanscrita at Istituto Italiano di Studi Orientali of Sapienza University of Rome, where he also taught for years Indian Philosophy and Religion and Indology .
Former member (2006-2010) of the Consiglio Accademico, and President of the Research Committee of the Ateneo Federato delle Scienze Umane, delle Arti e dell Ambiente (Rome Sapienza). Former member (2012-2016) of Giunta di Presidenza of Faculty of Lettere e Filosofia.
Coordinator of the South Asia Section in the Doctoral Course in Studies in Asia and Africa , Sapienza University of Rome.
Member of the Committee for Scientific Habilitation (ASN, sect. N/3)
