C.V. Stefania Maccari, Professore

LAUREA: nel 1986. Ha svolto la sua tesi sperimentale in Scienze Biologiche nel già Istituto di Farmacologia, ora dipartimento di Fisiologia Umana e Farmacologia alla Sapienza Università di Roma, relatore Prof. Luciano Angelucci. Il titolo della tesi è stato: Studio sperimentale dell asse ipotalamo-ipofisi-surrene nel ratto senescente.

DOTTORATO DI RICERCA:
(1) Nel 1987 vince il concorso per il Dottorato di Ricerca in Neuroscienze (di durata quinquennale) con sede amministrativa presso l Università di Cagliari, (Prof Biggio coordinatore), consociata con le Università di Bologna, di Modena, di Roma La Sapienza e di Sassari. Nel 1992 ottiene il Dottorato di Ricerca in Neuroscienze.
(2) Nel 1991 all Università di Bordeaux 2, nel laboratorio INSERM diretto dal Prof Michel Le Moal ha ottenuto un Dottorato di Ricerca in Farmacologia e Neuroscienze.

1° POSIZIONE DI RUOLO: Nel 1991, Il dottorato francese le ha permesso di concorrere e di ottenere il posto di Professor Associato all Università di Bordeaux 2 (Maître de Conferences). Durante questi anni la professoressa ha diretto un gruppo di ricerca di 7 persone nel laboratorio INSERM diretto dal Prof Michel Le Moal.

HDR, TITOLO DI STUDIO PIU ALTO: Il titolo accademico più elevato lo ottiene nel 1995 con l Habilitation à diriger des recherches (HDR, abilitazione a dirigere le ricerche). Il titolo della dissertazione è stato Fisiopatologia della Risposta allo stress: ruolo dell asse corticotropo . Il diploma HDR è un titolo richiesto per concorrere ai posti di professore ordinario.

2nd POSIZIONE DI RUOLO: Nel 1998 è diventata quindi Professore ordinario di Neuroscienze all Università di Lille-1, dove ha diretto il suo laboratorio di ricerca JE2365 Stress perinatale di dieci persone. Adempiendo il suo ruolo di Professor Ordinario, ha contribuito all assunzione di tre Maitres des Conferences (Professori associati) e di due Professori Ordinari nel settore disciplinare delle Neuroscienze.

A partir del 2009 é stata coordinatrice di un GRUPPO DI RICERCA EUROPEO (40 ricercatori europei di 5 città europee), GDRE-691, "Early Programming of Adult Modern Disease" (EPDM) http://www.gdrepmd.univ-lille1.fr. Nel 2013- il GDRE è diventato LABORATORIO INTERNAZIONALE ASSOCIATO (LIA) FRANCIA/ITALIA di cui lei ne è la co-direttrice insieme al prof Ferdinando Nicoletti e che vede associate Sapienza Università di Roma, l IRCCS Neuromed, l Università di Lille 1 ed il CNRS Francese.

3) POSIZIONE DI RUOLO: Nello 01.11.2013, Stefania Maccari è stata nominata professore di ruolo di I Fascia per il settore scientifico disciplinare MED/48 Scienze infermieristiche e tecniche neuro-psichiatriche e riabilitative (settore concorsuale 06/N1 Scienze delle professioni sanitarie e delle tecnologie medico-chirurgiche applicate) presso il Dipartimento di Scienze e biotecnologie medico-chirurgiche della Facoltà di Farmacia e Medicina alla Sapienza Università di Roma.

La ricerca condotta dalla Professoressa S Maccari è rivolta agli aspetti traslazionali degli studi epigenetici di stress precoci condotti nel ratto. Le sue ricerche più recenti sono basate sullo studio dei meccanismi epigenetici. Possibili interventi epigenetici sono possibili per modulare le funzioni della cromatina e normalizzare l'asse ipotalamo-ipofisi-surrene. Particolarmente interessata agli interventi preventivi nei primi momenti della vita attraverso un azione sul rapporto madre/padre figlio e in generale sull ambiente neonatale; infine, l influenza dello stress perinatale sulle tossicodipendenze, ampiamente studiata nel ratto, ha aspetti traslazionali interessanti nell uomo soprattutto in età adolescenziale.
