Objectives

Knowledge and understanding:
Students will be able to understand the more significant aspects of European economic freedoms and policies, and the main rules governing international economic law intended as the legal system that governs the economic relations among States and other independent entities.

Applying knowledge and understanding:
Students will be able to know the basic rules governing the functioning of: the European Customs Union and the free circulation of economic factors in the internal market; Competition law in the European internal market: antitrust and State aid; International cooperation for development; Investment protection; The discipline of international trade; Making judgement: students will develop an autonomous evaluating ability about the functioning of the European internal market and about fundamental rules governing economic relations.

Communication skills:
Students will develop an attitude to legal reasoning and the ability to discuss about the functioning of European and international economic rules.

Learning skills:
At the end of the curse, students will be familiar with the main instruments concerning European and international economic cooperation.
