Lo studente accede alla prova finale dopo il superamento di tutti gli esami previsti nell'ordinamento didattico e dopo aver ottemperato a quanto previsto dal Manifesto degli Studi di Ateneo.
La prova finale prevede la discussione, di fronte ad una commissione, di un elaborato scritto in lingua italiana o inglese con caratteri di originalità, sviluppato sotto la supervisione di un docente relatore e relativo ad una tematica scelta dallo studente tra quelle affrontate nell'ambito degli insegnamenti impartiti nel Corso di Studio. Il lavoro di tesi può essere svolto anche presso strutture extra-universitarie in Italia o all'estero.

Per essere ammesso alla prova finale lo studente deve aver conseguito tutti i CFU previsti dall’ordinamento didattico per le attività diverse dalla prova finale e deve aver adempiuto alle formalità amministrative previste dal Manifesto degli Studi di Ateneo. In particolare la prova finale prevede la discussione di un elaborato scritto, in lingua italiana o inglese, con carattere di originalità, sviluppato sotto la supervisione di un docente-relatore, su un argomento scelto dallo studente tra quelli delle discipline impartite. Il lavoro di tesi può essere svolto anche presso strutture extra-universitarie in Italia o all'estero.
La votazione finale si basa sulla valutazione del curriculum degli studi, dell’elaborato finale (tesi) e della discussione finale, e su ulteriori elementi rivolti ad incentivare il superamento degli esami nei tempi stabiliti dall’ordinamento didattico. Il punteggio massimo per l’esame di laurea che andrà ad incrementare la media pesata degli esami è di 8 punti, aumentabili di ulteriori 3 punti se lo studente si laurea in corso; 2 punti se con un anno di ritardo; 1 punto se con due anni o più di ritardo. Il punteggio degli incrementi per il tempo di conseguimento viene calcolato su anni doppi per gli studenti a tempo parziale. La commissione di laurea esprime la votazione in centodecimi e può, all’unanimità, concedere il massimo dei voti con lode.

To be admitted to the degree exam, students must have acquired all the ECTS provided for by the academic system for activities other than the degree exam and must have fullfilled all the administrative formalities provided for by the University Educational regulations.
The degree exam consists in the discussion of the master’s thesis, written either in Italian or in English, that has to be an original piece of writing drawn up under the supervision of a teacher-supervisor, on a subject chosen by the student among the disciplines taught. The thesis work may also be performed in non-university structures both in Italy and abroad. The final mark is awarded by taking into account the candidate’s academic records, the thesis work and the final dissertation as well as any further elements aimed at considering the candidate’s getting through the exams in the due times established by the academic system. The maximum marks which may be got at the degree exam is 8, which will add up to the weighted average, and may be increased by further three marks if the candidate is regular, by two marks if is one-year irregular and by one mark if is two-year irregular. The scores of the increases according to the time to achieve the degree are calculated on twice as many years for part-time students. The examination committee gives the final mark in one hundred tenths and may unanimously award the candidate the highest mark magna cum laude.
