Hello! I am Associate Professor in Economics at the Università La Sapienza di Roma, Department of Political Sciences. Before joining La Sapienza I have been Associate Professor of Public Economics at the Department of Economics and Finance, Università di Roma Tor Vergata.
My main research interests are in Microeconomics, at the intersection of Public Economics and Industrial Organization, with a special focus on competition economics, antitrust, market design, and incentives with specific applications to public procurement, economics of regulation, health contracting, and environment.
I have published articles in journals such as the Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Economics & Management Strategy, BE Journal of Economic Analysis and Policy, Manchester School, Bulletin of Economic Research, Journal of Analytical and Institutional Economics, Economics Bulletin, and Italian Economic Journal.
I am also an expert consultant in public procurement at the Italian National School of Administration (SNA), Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and I worked at the research unit of the Italian Public Procurement Agency (Consip s.p.a.). I have advised regional and national governmental bodies, including the Italian Minister of the Interior, the National Anti-Corruption Authority, the Italian Court of Audit, the Italian National Fire Corps, the National Police Department, as well as private companies.
