Students that are enrolled in the Energy Engineering curriculum (LM30) for the academic year 2025/2026 must subscribe to the Engineering Thermofluids (EThF) e-learning website, where all the study material is going to be published.

I also teach two optional learning items within LM30: a course called Fusion Reactor Technology (FRT, previously known asTechnology and Physics of Fusion Energy) and a laboratory titled Liquid Metals in Energy Applications (LMEA).

- Why to enroll: if you are interested in nuclear fusion or like to know something about one of the most interesting engineering challenges of our age, right at the cutting edge of innovation in computational physics, material science, thermal-hydraulics, etc.
- LMEA website (link), 3 ECTS, 2nd year, 2nd semester, enrollment key: 2026lmea
- Why to enroll: if you are interested in a project-based class that will guide you through the design a liquid metal component to be used in the energy field. 2026 project: nuclear fusion reactor breeding blanket.
Discontinued courses which website is still available for enrolled students and for guests:
- Liquid Metal Magnetohydrodynamics website (link), 3 ECTS, 1st year, 2nd semester.
- Why to peruse it: if you are interested in fluid mechanics and want to learn something about numerical methods used to solve problems involving fluids, i.e. computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Electromagnetic fields included in the package.
Lectures can be attended remotely via Zoom:
