  • [2022.02.04] >>> La didattica (in IT) per il corso ANTENNE inizierà IN PRESENZA mercoledì 23.02.2022 in aula 5 (via Eudossiana 18) per la L8 in Ingegneria Elettronica. Orario: mercoledì h. 10-14; venerdì h. 08-12.  
    Continuerà ad essere garantita, come da Decreto rettorale Sapienza del 12.10.2021, la fruizione a distanza per consentire la partecipazione degli studenti che:
    - non potranno assicurarsi un posto in aula, PREVIA VERIFICA CON IL DOCENTE; 
    - per motivi sanitari, non potranno partecipare alle attività in presenza, PREVIA RICHIESTA IN FORMA SCRITTA ALLA SEGRETERIA DEL CORSO.

  • [2022.02.04] >>> Lectures (in EN) for EARTH OBSERVATION DATA ANALYSIS (EODA) course (within MSc in Data science) will start IN PRESENCE on Monday 21.02.2022 in room A4/A3 (via Ariosto 25). It will be decided there and according to the general situation whether to hold the lessons only at a distance or not. Time schedule: Monday h. 13-17 (A3); Tuesday h. 16-18 (A4). 
    As per the Sapienza Rector Decree of 10.12.2021, remote access will continue to be guaranteed to allow the participation of students who:
    - cannot grant a place in the classroom, AFTER CHECK WITH THE TEACHER;
    - for health reasons, will not be able to participate in the activities in presence, SUBJECT IN WRITING TO THE SECRETARIAT OF THE COURSE.

  • [2021.09.10] >>> Le lezioni miste a distanza e in presenza (in ITaliano) per il corso di ELEMENTI DI COMUNICAZIONE TECNICO-SCIENTIFICA (ECTS) per la LM in Ingegneria Elettronica inizieranno martedì 21 settembre 2021 ore 14:00 in aula 06 (via Eudossiana 18) e termineranno martedì 9 novembre 2021.
    Per accedere al materiale e alle eventuali video-lezioni, iscriversi direttamente alla alla piattaforma G-Classroom del docente (vedi link e usa il codice i2lqoh3; solo per utenti studenti uniroma1; sono previsti strumenti video quali Meet) oppure contatta il docente (frank.marzano@uniroma1.it). Per le prenotazioni in aula è obbligatorio l'uso della piattaforma Prodigit https://prodigit.uniroma1.it/prenotazioni/prenotaaule.nsf/home. Prof. Frank S. Marzano received the Laurea degree (cum laude) in Electrical Engineering (1988) and the Ph.D. degree (1993) in Applied Electromagnetics both from the Sapienza University of Rome La Sapienza, Italy. In 1992 he was a visiting scientist at Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. During 1993 he collaborated with the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, National Council of Research (CNR), Rome, Italy. From 1994 till 1996, he was with the Italian Space Agency, Rome, Italy, as a post-doctorate researcher. After being a lecturer at the University of Perugia, Italy, in 1997 he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of L Aquila, Italy teaching courses on electromagnetic fields as Assistant Professor. In 1999 he was at Naval Research Laboratory, Monterey, CA, as a visiting scientist. In 2002 he got the qualification to Associate Professorship and has co-founded Center of Excellence on Remote Sensing and Hydro-Meteorological Modeling (CETEMPS), L Aquila. In 2005 he finally joined the Dept. of Information engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications, Sapienza Univ. of Rome, Italy where he is presently a full professor teaching courses on antennas, propagation and remote sensing. Since 2007 he has been vice-director of CETEMPS of the University of L Aquila, Italy where he was nominated director on March 2013. His current research concerns passive and active remote sensing of the atmosphere from ground-based, airborne, and space-borne platforms and electromagnetic propagation studies. Dr. Marzano has published more than 150 papers on refereed International Journals, more than 30 contributions to international Book chapters and more than 300 extended abstract on international and national congress proceedings. Within his editorial activity, he published 2 books and one textbook. From January 2004 till June 2014 he has been acting as an Associated Editor of IEEE Geoscience Remote Sensing Letters (GRSL) and since mid 2014 he is Associated Editor of IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing (TGRS). In 2005 and 2007 he has been Guest Co-Editor of the MicroRad04 and MicroRad06 Special Issues for IEEE-TGRS. Since January 2011 he is Associate Editor of the journal EGU Atmospheric Measurements Techniques. Dr. Marzano is Fellow of RMetS (Royal Meteorological Society) since 2012 and Fellow of IEEE since 2015.
