È revisore per diverse riviste internazionali: Bulletin of Earthquake Engineering, Structural Engineering and Mechanics, Earthquake and Structures, Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration, The Structural Design of Tall and Special Buildings, Journal of Building Engineering.

Graduated in 1996 in Civil Engineering with full marks at the University of Rome "Sapienza". She is PhD in Structural Engineering since 2002. Since December 2008 she is Assistant Professor of Structural Mechanics at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Rome "Sapienza". Since 1999 she holds classes of Mechanics of Materials and Theory of Structures at the same University.
From 2002 to 2006 she was holder of a Research Grant at the "Sapienza" University, Faculty of Architecture, for the development of analysis procedures for the seismic assessment of reinforced concrete buildings subjected to seismic excitations.
The research activity concerns mainly: the mechanics of structures, considering static and dynamic excitations, the study of the influence of the mechanical configuration of structures on their static and dynamic behaviour, the modelling and the assessment of structural and non structural elements in the non linear range, the seismic behaviour of reinforced concrete and masonry buildings and the assessment of the ground motion damage potential. The research activity included the participation to different surveys in areas stricken by earthquakes (Molise 2002, L'Aquila 2009, Cile 2010, Emilia 2012, Central Italy 2016).
She is author of more than 70 papers published in national and international journals, in national and international conference proceedings, in books and research reports.
She participated and coordinated different research projects. She participates to the ReLUIS (Rete dei Laboratori Universitari di Ingegneria Sismica) projects, financed by the Italian Civil Protection, for the study of the seismic response of structures. In 2014 she was involved in a study for the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities for the seismic assessment of museums.
She is reviewer for a number of International Journals: Bulletin of Earthquake Engineering, Structural Engineering and Mechanics, Earthquake and Structures, Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration, The Structural Design of Tall and Special Buildings and Journal of Building Engineering.
Belonging to the Institution of Engineers of Rome since 1996. From 1996 to 1998 she has been associated to Engineering Companies for the structural design of buildings and infrastructures. She was consultant of the public prosecutor's office of L'Aquila city for the criminal procedures concerning the collapses occurred during L'Aquila earthquake of 2009.
