Luigi Calcara received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Roma “Sapienza,” Rome, Italy, in 2015 and 2020, respectively, in the field of resilience of medium and high-voltage electrical systems. Currently he is Researcher and Professor of Electric Components and “Affidabilità e Resilienza dei Sistemi Elettrici per l’Energia” with the same University. He is an active member of IEC TC 10 “Fluids for Electrotechnical Applications,” since 2016. He is IEEE Senior Member and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation and IEEE Transaction on Industry Applications. From 2026 he is Secretary of the IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS) Technical Committee on Liquid Dielectrics.
