BREVE BIOGRAFIA:
M.A. Navarra è professoressa associata di Chimica Fisica (SSD CHEM-02/A). Si laurea in Chimica con lode presso l'Università degli studi di Roma La Sapienza nell'A.A. 2000/2001. Nel Gennaio 2006 consegue il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca in Scienza dei Materiali presso lo stesso Ateneo. Riceve due importanti riconoscimenti: il Premio di Dottorato 2007 “Fondazione Oronzio e Niccolò De Nora”, assegnato dalla Divisione di Elettrochimica della Società Chimica Italiana, e il Premio Eni Italgas “Debutto nella Ricerca”, XIX edizione, per gli studi condotti su nuove tecnologie applicate alle celle a combustibile. Svolge periodi di ricerca presso università ed istituti esteri, quali Chalmers University of Technology (Göteborg, Svezia), Hunter College of City University of New York (New York City, USA), Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, USA), Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research (ZSW, Ulm, Germania), instaurando proficue e durature collaborazioni nel settore dei dispositivi elettrochimici di accumulo e conversione dell’energia. Nel 2008 partecipa alla fondazione di “Eco Recycling”, SPIN OFF di trasferimento tecnologico di Sapienza Università di Roma, nel settore del recupero dei rifiuti speciali, di cui continua ad essere socia.

E' la Direttrice del Centro interdipartimentale di Ricerca HYDRO-ECO “Hydrogen as an alternative and ecological energy carrier” e membro del Collegio dei Docenti del corso di Dottorato in Modelli Matematici per l'ingegneria, Elettromagnetismo e Nanoscienze, di Sapienza Università di Roma. Membro del Consiglio Direttivo della Divisione di Elettrochimica e Coordinatrice del Gruppo Interdivisionale Enerchem, della Società Chimica Italiana. E' afferente al Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per la Scienza e Tecnologia dei Materiali (INSTM). Nel 2020 partecipa alla fondazione dell’Associazione GISEL “Gruppo Italiano Sistemi di Accumulo Elettrochimico”, centro di Riferimento Nazionale INSTM.

E' titolare degli insegnamenti "Chimica dei Beni Culturali e Metodi Elettrochimici" (LM Scienze e Tecnologie per la Conservazione dei Beni Culturali) e “Sistemi di Produzione e Accumulo dell’Energia” (LM Chimica Industriale) presso Sapienza Università di Roma.
