Since 2021 Marika Fior is Assistant Professor at Sapienza Università di Roma.
Ph.D. in Government and Territorial Design in 2013 (The historical territories of the contemporary city. New perspectives starting from the evolution of the concept of Historic Center into Historic City).
Since 2015 she has been Adjunct Professor in Urban Planning and Urban Design at Politecnico di Milano.
Since 2007 Marika developed numerous research activities (Research Fellow) at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies at Politecnico di Milano.
Freelance Urban Planner since 2009, she set projects and consultancy on the landscape, town planning, and territorial planning in Italy.
Since 2015 she is a Member of the Regional Commission for the Landscape of Lombardy and a Member of the Board of the National Association of Historic-Artistic Centers (ANCSA). For ANCSA, she developed various researches with particular attention to the contemporary condition of Italian historical centers. Marika has been Secretary General of the Association since 2022.
