Architetto, Dottore di Ricerca in Pianificazione Urbana e Regionale, è Professore Associato di Pianificazione Urbana presso il Dipartimento di Progettazione e Tecnologia Architettonica dell'Università Sapienza di Roma.
I suoi principali temi di ricerca sono: infrastrutture, mobilità e territorio; forme e regole degli insediamenti urbani e suburbani; riqualificazione urbana dei centri storici. Attualmente, su questi temi svolge e coordina ricerche e progetti sia a livello nazionale che internazionale, anche nei paesi in via di sviluppo.
È attualmente vice coordinatore del progetto di cooperazione allo sviluppo OCSHC “Centri Storici di Piccola Cuba Orientale” (2022-2025), finanziato dall'Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo (AICS) e realizzato dall'Università Roma Tre con l'Ufficio del Conservatore della Città di Santiago de Cuba e l'Università di Oriente (Santiago de Cuba). Dal 2022 al 2024 è stato anche coordinatore di questo progetto. Ha lavorato a lungo in America Latina e nei Caraibi, con attività di cooperazione e progetti a lungo termine a Cuba ed El Salvador, e collaborazioni accademiche e istituzionali in tutta la regione.
Ha tenuto conferenze presso diverse università in Italia, Europa e America Latina.
È autore di numerose pubblicazioni, tra cui:

Architect, PhD in Urban and Regional Planning, he is Associate Professor of Urban Planning at the Department of Planning Design and Technology of Architecture of Sapienza-University of Rome.
His main research themes are: infrastructures, mobility and territory; the rules urban and suburban settlements; the urban renewal of historic centres. Actually, on these issues he carries out and coordinates researches and projects both at nationally and internationally level and also in developing countries.
Actually, he is deputy coordinator of the development cooperation project OCSHC “Oriental Cuba Small Historical Centres” (2022-2025), funded by AICS Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and carried out by the Roma Tre University with the Oficina del Conservador de la Ciudad of Santiago de Cuba and the Universidad de Oriente (Santiago de Cuba). From 2022 to 2024 it was also coordinator of this project.He has worked extensively in Latin America and the Caribbean, including long-term cooperation and project activities in Cuba and El Salvador, and academic and institutional collaborations across the region.
He has lectured at various universities in Italy, Europe and Latin America.
