Dr. Mauro Maesano received the Master s degree in Forest Ecosystem Conservation, Restoration and Soil protection with summa cum laude at the University of Tuscia and He received the Ph.D. in Environment and Territory at the University of Molise in 2011. His main research interests are in the fields of forest, agro-forestry and urban forest management with traditional technologies and precision agriculture techniques. Currently, his research activities include Spatial Analysis and Modelling using Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Remote and proximal sensing and LiDAR data analysis with UAV (Unmanned aerial vehicle) technology and Thermal, Multi- and Hyperspectral and RGB sensors. Particularly, He focused on Precision Agriculture and Forestry Applications and Territorial Zonation; Vegetation Indices evaluation; Ecological and Environmental Studies (Landscape Ecology analysis) and urban forestry.
