Professore Associato di Strade Ferrovie e Aeroporti, SSD: ICAR/04, dal 1998.
Coordinatrice del corso di Dottorato di Ricerca in Infrastrutture e Trasporti, dal 2015 al 2021.
Direttrice del Master universitario di II livello in Costruzione e Gestione delle Infrastrutture Aeroportuali presso l Università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza, dal 2015.
Membro della SIIV Società Italiana Infrastrutture Viarie dal 1990.
È responsabile dei corsi Infrastrutture aeroportuali per i Corsi di Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Civile e Ingegneria Aeronautica e Transport infrastructures per il Corso di Laurea Magistrale In Ingegneria dei Trasporti-Transport Systems Engineering tenuti presso l Università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza.
Svolge attività di ricerca nel campo della sicurezza e della gestione delle infrastrutture aeroportuali. In questo ambito ha stipulate numerose convenzioni di ricerca con l ENAC (Ente Nazionale per l Aviazione Civile) e con l Aeronautica Militare. Nel campo della sicurezza e della progettazione delle infrastrutture stradali ha stipulato convenzioni di ricerca con Enti locali italiani e con enti privati e ha partecipato ad alcuni progetti di ricerca europei.
È autore di oltre 180 pubblicazioni scientifiche sui temi della progettazione, costruzione e manutenzione delle infrastrutture stradali e aeroportuali.
