the knot of perception and its connection with the idea of “image”; the theme of experience and its relationship with the motif of historicity; the plurivocity of the notion of “aura”; 4) may refine and deeply develop their abilities to grasp connections between different themes, texts and authors.

They could discuss the Principles of Dynamics, the Principles of Thermodynamics, notes on Electromagnetism, Special and General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. Students who have passed the exam will be able to discuss the significance of the basic concepts of modern physics. They will also be able to compare the principles concerned with others false or unverifiable. They will also acquire the ability to write and to understand the results of a measurement.

According to the expected learning outcomes of the Study Programme, the Course of Semiotics aims at the following specific goals: a) promoting knowledge and understanding of contemporary semiotic theories about cognition and communication; b) stimulating capabilities in the analysis and understanding of the historical genesis of contemporary issues in semiotic research; c) improving student’s reflective, argumentative and critical abilities through open discussions on the main authors and issues proposed in the lectures and by writing a short essay.

At the end of the course the student will demonstrate:

A. to know the main theories of contemporary semiotics and their specific terminology, and to understand their origins and developments (oral exam about knowledge and understanding);

B. to be able to write a short essay about one of the issues of the course (written exam about applying knowledge and understanding);

D. to be able to communicate in a clear way the issues of the course, using the appropriate terminology (oral exam about the communication skills);

E. to be able to go into the issues of the course with autonomous in-depth studies, starting from the debates carried out in the classroom and the given bibliographic suggestions.

In accordance with the broader educational framework of the course of study, the teaching of Philosophy of Language has the following specific goals: (a) promoting knowledge and understanding of the theories and conceptual tools elaborated by the philosophy of language in relation to the human sciences; (b) developing the ability to recognise and understand the historical genesis of the issues that animate contemporary research on language; (c) improving student's reflective, argumentative and critical abilities through open discussions on the main authors and issues proposed in the lectures and the possibility to write a short paper on one of the topics covered in the teaching (to be agreed with the lecturer).

The course provides a critical introduction to contemporary philosophy of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its fundamental concepts, with a particular focus on its connection to philosophy of mind and cognitive sciences. The course aims to achieve the following objectives: acquisition of key notions and main themes of the philosophy of AI, understanding of the main philosophical questions surrounding AI, mastery of an adequate philosophical vocabulary, development of personal argumentative skills, ability to establish conceptual links between the technological and philosophical fields.

The course aims to provide knowledge and understanding of the methodological and critical aspects, applicable to the various disciplines that characterize its interdisciplinary aspect, modulated in relation to potential job opportunities in the fashion system; it proposes perspectives on the fashion supply chain, in all its macro-sectors, in which related projects are activated; it shows the variability of fields of interest; it enables the student to master the specific topics in order to use them and apply them in all fields of fashion-system while using the correct specific language. With the acquired knowledge, the student will be able to develop autonomous ability to connect the different disciplines in the various historical epochs and cultural contexts related to fashion, as well as to create correlations between the various macro sectors of fashion.

b) development of the ability of historical and theoretical contextualization of the main topics discussed in the field of semantics and pragmatics;
c) improvement of the reflective, argumentative and critical abilities through open discussions of the bibliographical references;
d) stimulation of individual research courses in the footsteps of the issues discussed during the lectures or of the bibliographical references.

Educational objectives

Students are expected to acquire a good knowledge of the main lines of early modern history through an active and lively participation in the lessons, thanks also to an accurate reading of the texts indicated in the bibliography. Special attention will be given to the enhancement of critical attitudes and to the student’s skill of communicating the acquired knowledge.

The course aims to provide knowledge and understanding of the methodological, critical and applicable aspects of the anthropological disciplines; it proposes geographical areas and sectorial perspectives in which anthropological projects are activated; it shows the variability of anthropological fields of interest; it enables the student to master the anthropological topics in order to use them and apply them in other fields of study while using the correct specific language. With the acquired knowledge the student will be able to develop autonomous ability of connections with other disciplines in the various historical epochs and cultural contexts.

Educational objectives

The general objective of the course is to to provide students with an adequate knowledge of the history of education from the perspective of the history of ideas. The course is divided into three parts, dedicated respectively to antiquity, the Middle Ages and the modern and postmodern age. 1 ECTS is dedicated to the history of childhood.
