To be admitted to take the Degree Exam, the Student must have followed all the Courses and passed the related exams. The degree exam focuses on the discussion of a thesis written in an original way by the student under the guidance of a supervisor; the figure of a co-supervisor can be envisaged. The discussion of the thesis will take place in front of a Commission appointed in compliance with the University Didactic Regulations and the Faculty and Master's Degree Course Didactic Regulations. The commissions for the graduation exams have 110 points. The degree exam is passed with a minimum grade of 66/110. If the candidate obtains the highest marks, honors can be attributed unanimously. Degree exams are public.

The student has 8 credits available for the preparation of the degree thesis in clinical or technological university structures. This student activity is defined as a "Degree Internship"; this must be carried out outside the hours dedicated to other training activities, must not overlap with those chosen by the student (ADE) and must normally be requested in the month of December of the 4th / 5th year. The Student who intends to carry out the Degree Internship in a specific structure must submit a formal request to the Director of the same together with his / her CV (list of exams taken and marks obtained in each of them, list of optional activities followed, internships in laboratories or clinics or any other activity performed for training purposes). The Director of the structure, having consulted the teachers belonging to the same and verified the availability of places, accepts the request and entrusts to a Tutor, possibly indicated by the Student, the responsibility for checking and certifying the activities carried out by the Student himself in the structure. The internship abroad can, upon request, be counted for the purposes of the internship for the preparation of the thesis.
