Pathophysiology of the circulatory system and heart: atherosclerosis, arterial hypertension, shock, ischemia, heart attack. Pathophysiology of the respiratory system: bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary emphysema, pneumonia, pulmonary edema and pulmonary fibrosis, concepts of respiratory failure. Endocrine pathophysiology: endocrine hypo- and hyper-functions, pathophysiology of the thyroid, pathophysiology of diabetes.
