Course program
Principles of organization of health services: - Manage the emergency using guidelines, protocols and procedures; - Assist the polytraumatized patient; - Assist the patient in a state of shock; - Assist the patient in coma by evaluating the degree, according to the various evaluation scales; - Ventilate and manage the patient with automatic ventilator; - Assist the patient in cardiac arrest, and management of episodes of basic cerebro-vascular resuscitation (Stroke-TIA) and with advanced techniques; - Know first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation techniques: perform external cardiac massage and mouth-to-mouth and mouth-to-nose ventilation and/or ventilate the patient with the AMBU bag and knowledge and use of the defibrillator; - Know the orotracheal intubation techniques; - Administrative management of drugs and healthcare devices, in particular administrative management of the drug loading and unloading register; and management and use of narcotic drugs - Recognize the levels of criticality (state of consciousness, respiratory instability, hemodynamic instability) using the appropriate assessment scales where necessary and prepare care plans; - First aid measures for burn patients (management, evaluation and treatment and use of rating scales); - Bandages and bandages and immobilization systems; - Gastric lavage; - Carry out oral hygiene in the unconscious and/or intubated patient, - Detect and monitor PVC; - Detect and monitor systemic blood pressure with an invasive method; - Know the methods of performing arterial and venous blood gas analysis and evaluation of alterations in gas exchange through the detection of respiratory and blood gas analysis parameters; - Assist the patient before death; - Recompose the body and know the medical-legal procedures; - Recognize the signs and symptoms of neurological patients; - Assist the patient with head trauma, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease - know the neurological instrumental and diagnostic techniques (Rachicentesis, EMG, EEG) and collaborate with the doctor in carrying out the diagnostic-therapeutic techniques; - Recognize and assist the person with an epileptic attack; - Reception and multidimensional assessment in mental health; - Adoption of individual and environmental measures in the person with disorders psychopathological (Psychological, Pharmacological, Environmental and Physical restraint); - Care planning and safety for patients with impaired consciousness (including psychotropic substances); - Know the types of mechanical ventilation in relation to the pathological conditions of the Patient; - Know the devices such as: endotracheal tubes, cannulae, laryngoscope, laryngeal tube, and intraosseous devices; - Manage the tracheostomy with correct aspiration of secretions; carry out aspiration of oro-nose pharyngeal secretions; carry out aspiration of tracheal secretions; - Know TRIAGE evaluation and assignment of priority codes; - Urgent acceptance and evaluation (department and other services); -- Problems of adherence to treatment and specific aspects of therapy pharmacology in psychiatry; - Know the positions that the patient must assume on the operating bed a depending on the type of intervention; - Assist the patient in the pre-anesthesia room; - Know and understand the various types of anesthesia, devices, drugs, biomedical equipment - recognize the surgical instruments and main devices; - Know the methods and monitor the person during the anesthesia phases; - Know how to recognize and apply the rules of behavior in the operating room; - Know all the equipment for the sterilization of surgical material and instruments; - Know and be able to apply guidelines, protocols, check list procedures; - Know the conservation and maintenance procedures for anesthesia material and equipment; - Planning and management of internal and external transport of stable patients or patients in critical conditions to the healthcare facility; - Collaboration in the drafting of individual rehabilitation plans.
Prerequisites
The student must have passed the third year exams and attended the clinical internship, reaching the 1800 hours required by the regulation.
