Course program
The main objective in this phase is to understand the role of the Physiotherapist and his/her function within the rehabilitation/multidisciplinary team. Although the first year of internship is mainly observational, the student must take advantage of this first approach to fully understand the role of the Physiotherapist. The practical training and internship path of the 1st year of the course involves the achievement of the following objectives: • In the field of PREVENTION: applies all the principles of hygiene and safety aimed at preventing the onset of infections (hand washing, use of PPE, applies the major principles of protection of personal and patient safety and health) • In the field of CARE and REHABILITATION: is able to describe the characteristics of normal movement and, faced with pathological conditions, is able to detect the most macroscopic morphological, structural and functional alterations that alter autonomy. The student is able to identify landmarks on the limbs and trunk by palpation, measure joint movement using a goniometer, and recognize the state of the muscles through muscle examination. • With the help of theoretical knowledge, he/she recognizes the difference between passive, active-assisted, active, and resistance mobilization techniques and is able to perform global and segmental mobilization techniques with correct grips. The trainee performs postural transitions supine/seated, bed/wheelchair, and sitting/standing, evaluating the use of suitable aids; correctly positions patients in the different decubitus positions (lateral, supine, and prone) as well as in the sitting position. Understands the use and purpose of evaluation scales. • In the context of THERAPEUTIC EDUCATION: he/she is able to argue his/her hypotheses of indications and contraindications necessary for patients and caregivers in the simplest pathologies. • In the context of TRAINING and SELF-TRAINING: actively contributes to their own training, requesting clarifications when necessary and reflecting on their own gaps. By comparing their work with the reference tutor, they focus on their strengths and weaknesses in relation to the subsequent internship. Understanding their own training needs, taking responsibility for their own professional development, responding to continuous changes in knowledge and health and social needs. • In the context of PRACTICE BASED on EVIDENCE of EFFICACY: they question themselves on the evidence of effectiveness. • In the context of PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY: they understand what their limits are, both based on the knowledge acquired and on their professional field. In all the contexts in which they operate, they adhere to the principles of ethics and respect for privacy. • In the area of ​​MANAGEMENT and MANAGEMENT: works to understand the purposes and organization of a rehabilitation department/service, as well as the bureaucratic and organizational procedures to access an outpatient service, furthermore, is able to prepare the rehabilitation setting (preparation of the work space, the necessary material, etc.) and always places himself in a situation of active listening. • In the area of ​​COMMUNICATION and RELATIONSHIP: uses appropriate language depending on the subject with whom he relates (patient, caregiver and other professional figures), professional and relational relationship with the various figures and always places himself in a situation of active listening. He is part of the interprofessional team, group work.

Frequency
The internship will take place from Monday to Friday (excluding Saturdays and holidays) for a duration of 6 hours per day. The scheduled hours must be respected and any changes agreed with the coordinator/tutor to whom you are entrusted
Exam mode
Evaluation of specific skills and abilities developed during the clinical internship experience. Theoretical test: observation, evaluation, description of normal movement, identification of landmarks, knowledge of the different joints, state of the muscles.
