Quality Assurance (QA)
Organization and responsibilities of the AQ of the CdS
Sapienza's Quality Assurance (QA) System is described in detail on the Quality Team's web pages, available at https://www.uniroma1.it/it/pagina/team-qualita.
The web pages describe the ten-year process developed by the University to build Sapienza's Quality Assurance, the organizational model adopted, the QA stakeholders (Quality Team, Monitoring Committees, Joint Faculty-Student Committees, Degree Program Quality Committees), the active Working Groups, the main activities developed, and the documentation prepared for managing Quality Assurance processes and activities in Teaching, Research, and the Third Mission.
The Web Pages also serve as a communication platform and a platform for providing reference data for Review activities, drafting reports by the Joint Faculty-Student Commissions and Monitoring Committees, and compiling the SUA-Teaching and SUA-Research Reports.
Each Degree Program and each Department may apply the Sapienza Quality Assurance Model defined on the Quality Team Web Pages to its own Degree Program/Department Quality Assurance, adapting it to its own organizational needs while still complying with the models and procedures defined by ANVUR and the Quality Team.
The Degree Program/Department Web Pages, together with the SUA-Teaching and SUA-Research Reports, serve as communication tools for implementing the Quality Assurance System at the Degree Program/Department level.
The Quality Assurance Group monitors the implementation of quality policy according to the guidelines of Sapienza's decision-making bodies. Quality is defined through appropriate efficiency and effectiveness indicators. To this end, the Quality Assurance Group: 1. Arranges teaching support interventions, monitoring a student assistance and counseling plan to help them overcome any difficulties during their studies and in completing their thesis; 2. Provides tutoring to students who are behind schedule and working part-time; 3. Takes all necessary measures to encourage student participation in surveys to share their opinions on the courses they attend. The Quality Assurance Group meets periodically to monitor the corrective actions proposed in the Review Reports.
Each program, through its Quality Assurance Group, will hold periodic meetings to
monitor the corrective actions indicated in the previous Review Report. It will evaluate the results
of their adoption, highlighting the strengths identified, any critical issues, and any changes
deemed necessary; it will verify the adequacy and effectiveness of the program management; it will propose,
where necessary, corrective actions to be introduced in the subsequent Review Report. The meeting schedule
will be established following completion of the University's requirements.
Organization and responsibilities of the AQ of the CdS - further information
The quality of the degree program is monitored by the president, vice president, and director of studies. These figures are supported by members of the degree program's academic secretariat, student representatives, and faculty, depending on the needs presented. The starting point for the work plan is the OPIS evaluation documents and ANVUR data. Specifically, the program improvement proposals proposed in the SMA and DARS - OPIS are taken into consideration. The contribution of the Teaching Observatory should not be overlooked.

Consultation with representative organizations
Consultations with the social partners took place in Chieti, at the headquarters of the Permanent Conference of the Degree Classes of the Healthcare Professions (MIUR, Ministry of Health, representatives of the professions, the President of the Conference, and the Presidents of the degree programs), on May 14 and 15, 2010.
At the final meeting of the University-wide consultation on March 23, 2011, taking into account the results of the preceding online consultation, the participating organizations expressed a favorable opinion.

OCIAL PARTY CONSULTATIONS – CLASS III 18/04/2025
MINUTES OF CLASS III MEETING
During the meeting, the Parties discussed the following main topics:
1. Reduced attractiveness and motivation of minor healthcare professions: greater guidance is called for in schools to raise awareness of lesser-known profiles (e.g., audiometric techniques and neurophysiological pathology).
2. Shortage of professional tutors: the lack of established professionals negatively impacts the quality of training and increases the risk of dropouts. This shortage also translates into difficulty finding academic directors. It is hoped that healthcare providers will provide incentives to promote the role of academic tutors.
3. Updating educational regulations: Amendments are proposed to introduce new skills, particularly in innovative technologies (AI, sleep medicine, neuromodulation), and an expansion of internship agreements is called for to ensure the acquisition of specific skills.
4. Specialized teaching: The need for teaching in professional fields to be conducted by experts in the field is emphasized.
5. Lack of interest in master's degrees: This is due to the low recognition of the degree in competitive exams, the requirement for in-person attendance, and the limited compatibility with work. A revision of the educational objectives is proposed to include skills in management, psychology, research, and teaching, as well as reserving places in doctoral schools.
6. Recognition of foreign qualifications: Caution is advised with qualifications obtained abroad, especially online, and greater uniformity in educational curricula among universities is called for.
Finally, students also agree on the need to update their training, citing low average salaries as a reason for professional emigration.
