Main urological, nephrological and andrological diagnostic investigations. • Outlines of the major urological and andrological pathologies: prostate disorders (prostatitis, benign prostatic hypertrophy, prostate cancer), urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, infertility, kidney, bladder and testicular neoplasms, urolithiasis. • Urethral, ureteral and percutaneous catheterization. • Diagnostic and operative urological endoscopy: urethrocystoscopy, ureteroscopy, nephroscopy, Transurethral Resection of Prostate (TURP) and Bladder tumors (TURB), ureterolithotripsy, ureterolitholapaxy. • Management of pre-, intra- and post-surgical urological patient. The student should achieve the basic informations on the main uro-andrological pathologies, especially about the nursing conduct and participation in the diagnostic process and in the surgical and post-surgical treatment, be able to evaluate the main parameters of urinary and genital functions and to manage, from a nursing perspective, the hospitalization of patients affected by uro-adrological pathologies.

E' importante avere nozioni di base sull'anatomia e sulla fisiologia dell'apparato genito-urinario e delle elementari norme di gestione infermieristica del malato urologico.
