Course program
The course explores the theoretical and practical foundations of pedagogy as the science of education, analyzing its origins, epistemological sources, and developments across different fields of application. Main topics: Origin, meaning, and historical development of pedagogy; concepts of education, instruction, and training. Sources of pedagogy: biology, psychology, sociology, anthropology, and philosophy. Areas of pedagogy: general, experimental, comparative, special, social, adult, and intercultural pedagogy. Lifelong learning and continuing education. Concept of personality, maturity, and human development process. Educational methodology and didactics: pedagogical models, strategies, and teaching–learning tools. Educational relationship and communication: verbal and non-verbal language, empathy, and the emotional dimension of learning. Cognitive and motivational processes: theories by Piaget, Bruner, Vygotsky, and Ausubel . General and special didactics: assessment, planning, and personalization of educational interventions. Health education and educational contexts: formal, non-formal, and informal learning
