Biomedical Laboratory techniques

The seminar activities support the lectures and are aimed at deepening laboratory techniques in molecular biology and functional biochemistry. Based on the contingent needs of those enrolled in the course, theoretical-practical exercises will be offered to support frontal teachin, about: - Calculation of concentrations of solutions; dilutions; solution titrations - Use of laboratory instruments (spectrophotometer) - PCR - Agarose gel electrophoresis - Titrating solutions

To better understand the teaching program and to achieve the learning objectives, at the beginning of the didactic activities, students must have an adequate knowledge of the basics of chemistry, biology, physics and mathematics.

Seminar activities will be held in the Laboratories of the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology (adress: Via Giorgio Nicola Papanicolau, Rome)

The biochemistry seminar activities will have mandatory attendance which will be recorded by signing the attendance sheet. The biochemistry seminar activities will be recorded at the end of the training course (third year of the course), at the conclusion of all the seminar activities included in the study plan.

The lessons will be held through theoretical explanation of the topic covered, followed by exercises or laboratory exercises
