Course program
The student must be able to: 1. Carry out nutritional assessment in pathological subjects: collect, verify and interpret data necessary to identify nutritional problems (causes and relevance) 2. Identify and describe a specific nutritional problem that can be improved or resolved through nutritional intervention 3. Plan and implement nutritional interventions in different pathological conditions (elaboration of nutritional plans, nutritional education, nutritional counselling) 4. Monitor and re-evaluate the nutritional intervention 5. Acquire the ability to collaborate with other health professionals within the facilities/services attended 6. To be familiar with professional ethics 7. Carrying out bibliographic research Participation in conferences, webinar and fad courses related to the profession
Prerequisites
Students must have passed the 2nd-year internship examination.
Books
Guidance on adopted texts and reference bibliography will be provided by the tutor during the training activities.
Frequency
Attendance is mandatory according to the course regulations.
Exam mode
On-going evaluation of the activities carried out during the internship attendance. The final examination consists of a written test and an oral practical test.
Lesson mode
In presence, in dietetics and clinical nutrition departments, in specialist clinics, in inpatient units, and in classroom, for group exercises and role playing activities.
