Architecture (Conservation)

The course aims to provide theoretical and methodological tools needed to set up and develop an appropriate refurbishment intervention aimed mostly at thearchitecture of the twentieth century. During the course, consisting of lectures and exercises, issues related to maintenance and building rehabilitation will bedevelop, with particular regard to: a) the survey of pre-existing buildings and urban fabric b) the project and organization of work, c) the kind of building firmswith different specializations, d) the various stages of execution techniques (structures, roofs, plasters, dampness protection, thermal insulation, heatingplant, electrical systems, plumbing etc.).
