Planning and management control

Course objectives

The aim of the course is to provide students with the managerial tools for planning and control of the firm. To this end, it will be analyzed the main tools of strategic and operational planning, management control and performance evaluation of the firm. Students will have full knowledge of management tools for strategic and operational planning, management control and performance evaluation of the firm. Specifically, the acquired skills will allow to analyze: the economic and financial dynamic of the company with regard the past data and expected data; the cost per unit of product by using different techniques; the investments; the company’s performances over time; the reporting system. Skills acquired will allow students to work in: industrial company in the division of Planning and Control; advisory company specialized on the management consulting.

Knowledge of Business Economics, Microeconomics, Mathematics, Statistics.
