Course program
The course aims to provide students with the theoretical skills and fundamental analytical skills in the field of business strategies. Specifically, theoretical and applicative indications are provided on the tools, approaches and processes that companies adopt to obtain a competitive advantage on the market. Attention is then paid to the dimension of innovative strategies and how they can allow the achievement of a competitive advantage. Finally, a specific discussion will be dedicated to sustainability strategies adoptable by companies.

Teaching mode
The main teaching method will be face-to-face lectures. During the lessons all issues included in the program will be dealt with, focusing on the most important and innovative topics of the discipline. Whenever possible, examples of practical business cases will be reported, in order to give substance to theories and tools. Videos will be used to clarify different issues treated.
Dialogue and continuous interaction with students will be stimulated, in order to improve their interest and involvement.
On a voluntary basis, in the final part of the course, students will be provided scientific papers and/or case studies dealing with issues treated during the course. These case studies will be discussed in groups and then presented.
Frequency
Attendance at lessons is not mandatory, but it's useful for study
Exam mode
The final exam will be unique and in writing. After the written test, those who have obtained a sufficient level can also perform an oral exam. The average value between written and oral exams will be the final evaluation.
The written test will be divided into both closed questions (with 3 possible answers for each question and only one correct), and open questions. Total points is 30. Only student obtaining 18 as minimum in the written exam CAN decide to participate to an oral exam, in order to increase their evaluation.
For students attending lessons: the final part of the course will foresee a final discussion about case studies and scientific papers. This discussion will be evaluated in the final exam.
