Course program
This course focuses on the analysis of corporate law, paying particular attention to sustainability issues in all their forms. Adopting a regulatory focus, the course explores the primary methods through which the legal system integrates the concept of sustainability in economic and non-economic contexts.
Topics covered include the principles of cost-effectiveness and profit in business, the relationship between business and economic sustainability, profit-making functions in companies, social enterprises and benefit corporations, corporate social responsibility, non-financial and sustainability reporting, sustainability in financial services and consulting, eco-sustainable economic activities, green bonds, and due diligence in sustainability.
Prerequisites
A knowledge of the fundamentals of commercial law is essential.
Frequency
Face-to-face classes are to be held.
Exam mode
Preparation will be assessed through an oral exam. The exam will cover the topics discussed during the lessons and in the recommended textbooks.The final evaluation will be a numerical grade out of thirty.
