Educational objectives To provide Students the knowledge base and its leaders of building
activity is, is the body building, analyze and classify building
elements that compose according to the requirements of identification
and description of space, the requirements of comfort and safety
requirements to ensure the static.The target of the class is to give to the students the basic knowledge of materials and building techniques in architecture. The target is also to create a complete and coherent architectural-design.
The course defines the systemic reading of the building and wants to show how every constructive choice has to be contextualized during the operative praxis of design. The technical and constructive knowledge are necessary - but are not enough - for the students to planning a building.

Educational objectives Basic geological concepts (petrographic and structural) that control the engineering behaviour of rocks and soils at the material scale and at the outcrop scale.
- Spatial representation of geological discontinuities, reading geological maps and comprehension of simple geological profiles.
- Geological investigations and basic classification of rock materials and rock masses for engineering purposes.

to civil engineering: chemical and physical characteristics, production
technologies and performance under different environmental and
mechanical stress conditions. Acquisition of tools necessary for
critically evaluating suitable applications of the various kinds of
