Industrial Chemical Processes

Course objectives

Obiettivi formativi (inglese) The student should be capable to put together the knowledge learnt during the previous basic and specific courses, and to finalize them to the critical analysis of a chemical process. Moreover, starting from a simple chemical reaction shoud draw an elemental process scheme. Risultati attesi (inglese) The training of the Chemical Engineer is orientated to the realization and management of chemical processes. The course teaches a global approach to the chemical processes, starting from the basic physical-chemical phenomena to the catalyst study, to the process units, to the operating procedures. Such purpose is reached through the critical analysis of some important chemical processes. The course includes a fundamental section (structure of the Industry, catalysts, raw materials, safety, scheme drawing) and a section devoted to the analysis of some important chemical processes.
