The affection and esteem expressed by students from different generations and by colleagues who worked alongside him bear witness to the value of an exemplary professor, capable of combining scientific rigor, a passion for teaching, and genuine care for people.
This morning, the students wished to convey the following message to the faculty of the Academic Area Council:
On behalf of the students of the Aerospace Engineering, Space Engineering, and Aeronautical Engineering degree programs, we wish to express our condolences for the untimely passing of Professor Teodoro Valente.
We remember with gratitude his teaching, his expertise, and the contribution he made to the Sapienza academic community.
We stand in heartfelt solidarity with his family, with you colleagues, and with all those who knew him.

The community of faculty and students of the Academic Area Council wishes to join in these words, expressing its profound gratitude to Professor Teodoro Valente for the example of dedication, integrity, and service that he offered to his university—Sapienza—, to institutions, to his students, and to his colleagues. His teaching, both human and scientific, will continue to live on in the people he educated and in the academic community that he helped build.

Graduates in Aerospace Engineering (L-9) or Aeronautical Engineering (LM-20) (or both) who are interested in obtaining the Aircraft Maintenance License (AML) Category C in accordance with EASA Part-66 regulations may request, from the CAD Teaching Office, certification of the university credits earned and corresponding to the modules, based on the agreement with ENAC of May 20, 2026.
