In order to encourage voter turnout in the constitutional referendum on March 22 and 23, 2026, there will be a suspension of teaching on March 23, 2026.
The fourth edition of the ManuThon event, organized by Aitem (Italian Association of Manufacturing Technologies), will be held in Florence on May 8-9, 2026. ManuThon is a non-stop competition that will last approximately 36 hours, following the typical Hackathon format, and will focus on manufacturing. Participants are bright young people selected from universities across Italy (undergraduate, graduate, master's, and doctoral students, as well as recent graduates under 32) who will compete in groups to conceive and develop innovative ideas in response to challenges proposed by companies in the sector. The primary goal of ManuThon is to facilitate meetings between companies and young people in an unconventional, informal, and unstructured context. This year's participating companies include Baker Hughes, the Italian Institute of Welding, Altform, and Borg (REUMAN consortium).

Following the restoration of IT systems,
students enrolled in the first year of Mechanical Engineering (LM33) will be able to submit their training program by April 15th.
Students enrolled in the first year of Mechanical Engineering (L9) will be able to submit their training program by March 15th.
Students interested in attending the Structural Analysis of Metallic Materials Laboratory should send an email to stefano.natali@uniroma1.it with the SUBJECT: Structural Analysis Laboratory - First Name, Last Name, Student ID.
After Easter, they will be contacted by email to schedule the dates and times of the exercises, depending on the academic commitments of the instructor and students.

The Bridgestone Europe S.p.A. research center in Castel Romano is sponsoring an internship for a thesis on the development of innovative numerical models based on the use of finite element codes and neural networks for tire compounds.
