ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING AND PRODUCTION SYSTEMS
Course objectives
Student must will able to: - choose an additive manufacturing technology in order to comply with product specifications - apply the Design for Additive Manufacturing - analyze a CNC code - employ a Computer Aided Manufacturing - plan a Flexible Manufacturing System and a Flexible Assembly System - control a 3D part features by contact and non contact methods

Basic introduction on Additive manufacturing: history, concepts, applications. Computer Numerical Control hardware. Basic elements of programming. Computer Aided Manufacturing. Additive Manufacturing processes: Fused Deposition Modeling, Selective Laser Melting. Flexible Manufactuing Systems. Flexible Assembly Systems.
Reverse Engineering: general concept, light scattering and structured light
Coordinate Measurement Machines: generalities, sensors, programming.
Digital Image Processing applied to industrial measurements
