Course program
The Transversal Skills course aims to promote the acquisition of complementary, integrative, and transversal abilities in addition to disciplinary knowledge, while fostering the development of applied and professional skills useful for the students’ academic path and future employment.
The activities, organised throughout the academic year, may include in-depth learning modules and internship experiences, as detailed in the dedicated Moodle course.
To obtain 1.5 ECTS (3 ECTS), students are required to complete at least 12 hours (24 hours) of training activities. Alternatively, 1.5 ECTS (3 ECTS) may be obtained through a training internship of a minimum duration of 75 hours (150 hours).
Only the activities listed in the dedicated Moodle course are eligible for recognition. Any other activity must be agreed in advance with the President of the Degree Programme.
Prerequisites
No formal prerequisites are required. A basic knowledge of digital tools and an adequate understanding of the fundamental concepts covered in the first-year courses, particularly those in statistics and mathematics, are assumed.
Books
The reference materials (lecture notes, articles, digital resources, etc.) are provided by the lecturer responsible for the training activity chosen by the student.
Frequency
Attendance may be compulsory depending on the type of activity chosen and as determined by the lecturer responsible. The participation requirements are specified in the dedicated Moodle course or communicated by the lecturer in charge of the activity.
Exam mode
The assessment method is defined by the lecturer responsible for the activity chosen by the student and may vary according to the type of activity carried out (in-depth study, practical exercise, report, etc.). The result is recorded following the successful verification of participation and/or the final evaluation of the activity.
Lesson mode
The teaching methods vary according to the nature of the activity chosen by the student and may include lectures, exercises, applied activities, individual or group work, as well as internship experiences, as specified by the lecturer responsible.
