MEDIEVAL HISTORY
Course objectives
The course provides an overview of what happened during the Middle Ages along with the basic tools to understand the current paths of historiography and critical approach to the contemporary documentation . The aim of course is to put students in a position to understand the development of medieval history and its significance in relation to our present, and to understand different historiographical ideas in the interpretation of historical facts.

The course provides an introduction to the main issues of the history of the medieval millennium, with particular attention to the development of political, economic and cultural relations, referring to the sources and the historiographical debate.
