Course program
The course aims to delve into the world of artistic techniques and the related world of art forgery. The course is divided into two parts: the first, dedicated to the ‘making’ in art, aims to provide students with a structured knowledge of the main artistic techniques used over the centuries, based on the data obtained from the reading of written sources and from visual and technical-scientific investigations into the subject matter of works. The techniques examined this year will be mosaic, and stone and bronze sculpture. For each technique, the execution procedure will be analysed and the historical path of use will be traced.
