The Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence (L-5) has been designed to give students the basic, typical knowledge and skills required with regard to both philosophy and artificial intelligence. The aim is to promote the interaction of philosophy with various other fields of learning and to develop skills which contribute to the study of the human reality and the educational function of philosophy itself. The Course explains the key points of philosophical and scientific thinking in terms of their theoretical characterisation and historical development; the logical and epistemological and, more in general, the philosophical and historical knowledge of science. The focus is on developing knowledge that goes beyond disciplinary boundaries; the tools used to analyse the operation of intelligent systems and information technologies, with particular attention paid to the ongoing efforts in digital transformation; the methodologies of philosophical inquiry, with reference to reasoning techniques and the use of language in the various forms of communication and command of a technical lexicon and bibliographical research tools; knowledge of at least one European Union language, in addition to Italian, including with reference to lexical disciplines.
