They will also be eligible for other Master’s degrees upon completion of the necessary credits. In both cases, these courses are required for teaching qualification purposes.

Skills
The Programme aims to produce graduates who are experts in cultural heritage. The interdisciplinary training they receive will prepare them for postgraduate study and/or employment in an international context.

Graduates should have a solid foundation in Classical civilisation, acquired by studying the languages, literature and history of Greece and Rome and by acquiring relevant vocabulary. They should also understand historical and literary developments, recognising the enduring influence of Classics on medieval, modern and contemporary culture. They should be proficient in literary interpretation methods and techniques, and be able to translate and interpret Greek and Latin texts. They should demonstrate mastery of philological methods and historical reconstruction and interpretation techniques. They should also be able to critically analyse complex texts and events within their historical and geographical contexts. They should be able to interpret phenomena in light of long-term historical perspectives, engaging in argumentation and discussion on complex topics.
Developing transversal skills enables graduates to refine their advanced expressive abilities, both oral and written, as well as their critical, logical and interpretive skills. Another primary objective of the training is to equip graduates with the ability to continuously update their professional skills and utilise primary technological tools for text processing, images and data management, and communication.

Thanks to the skills acquired on this Programme, graduates can pursue a variety of international careers in the cultural heritage sector. They can find employment with organisations and institutions specialising in cultural heritage, such as museums, libraries, archives, film libraries and archaeological parks.
