Global Humanities

The course aims to provide basic information on this topic (knowledge) in order to use it, and to apply it to other research fields, employing proper and specific terminology (competence). Furthermore, the course aims to enable students to acquire and comprehend basic elements of the main theories and methods of ethnomusicology, taking a multicultural and interdisciplinary perspective. It also aims at developing skills in relating ethnomusicological theories and methods to other disciplines such as history, anthropology, musicology, and to several applied contexts (education, inclusion, cultural mediation).
